Comments: I told a friend once that I'm intellectually bored and he said that was a contradiction because a true intellectual will know how to not be bored. To me he had a point but then again....

I agree with your friend. If a person call himself/herself an intellectual then they're probably busy learning, reading and analyzing stuff. There is no time for "boredom".

Is being bored a state of mind or a condition of environment? I've been thinking about it more than I thought because I have to travel for about one hour each day and it gives me more time than I want to think about all kinds of crazy topics.
