Best Game You Ever Played?

I'm curious to see what titles would hit the headlines in people favorite games ever.
You can have more than one as comparing genre's is impossible.

So whats your favorite game ever and why?

I would have to say for me Command and Conquer Red Alert 2 has to be my favorite RTS ever. I put so many hours into that game and achieved some incredible goals. I reached a level where I could take on 9 brutal enemies in the skirmish mode and built my way to rank 1 in the online rankings. The gift for reaching that point was to play against one of the developers who I scholled in the art of war.
For a RTS I think RA2 had it all, brilliant graphics for its time, fast game play and easy to use controls/hud. Well balanced sides and units with nothing being too overpowered apart from perhaps the mirage tank..

Played You Game Best

I think the best game I ever played was Armezone. I know, old game but the graphics were fantastic and the story line was very entertaining.
