Comments: I don't understand the whole speaking in tongues routine. What is the purpose for someone to mumble things and behave like they are in a mental hospital in order to pass on a spiritual message?

Evangelists do that a lot. The Bible tells us about speaking in "tongues" however I don't believe that just mumbling any words that doesn't sound like English is speaking in tongues. I find it irreverent actually.

I've seen this before and I think it just doesn't make any sense its just a show item, like a religious entertainment. I mean what is the real purpose of just babbling incoherently? Better to go out there and serve food to the poor.
