Newt Gingrich has replaced his campaign manager and is laying off a third of his staff, but has vowed to continue his bid for the Republican presidential nomination, a spokesman confirms to CNN.
"The campaign is being redesigned to make it convention ready," spokesman R.C. Hammond said. "Speaker Gingrich is committed to going all the way to Tampa."

Gingrich renting out his donor list in desperate attempt to raise cash
First his think-tank declared bankruptcy. Then it was revealed that his campaign was so deeply in debt - to the tune of $4.5 million dollars - that it had had bounched a $500 check. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich will end his presidential bid on Wednesday in Washington, D.C., sources tell CNN.
Previous reports said Gingrich would likely quit the race on Tuesday.
He is expected to express his support for likely GOP nominee Mitt Romney. The two spoke by phone last week, a Gingrich spokesman told CNN.
The decision to hold the event this week was due to logistical reasons, sources told CNN last week.
I thought he would have given in a long time ago but maybe some of these players want their name highlighted as much as possible so further down the road they can get into the White House with some kind of portfolio.
