Monotheistic Faiths & Akhenaten

Comments: I have a theory that many of the monotheistic faiths of today, believe in worshiping one god, came out of what Akhenaten did in ignoring all the other Egyptian gods and got the people and priests to ensure worship only to one god. I will like to debate on this possibility since most religions stem out of older religions.
