Why do people further dampen the sacrament meeting by telling everyone that they forgot they had to give a talk that day? First of all what could have helped this is if the member of the bishopric had reminded them about the talk that would have been so helpful.
I know for me, it would help if the person that gave me the request to talk, to remind me, on Friday, or Saturday, before my Sacrament talk. But to be honest, even being prepared, didn't help me give a good talk. This is one bad thing about having people untrained in public speaking give talks.
Lots of room for boring people and [insert false doctrine here] because the person giving the talk does not know HOW to give a talk like Wolverine said. Why is this acceptable I wonder.
