And the new federally mandated bulbs aren't only expensive, but some pose added hazards such as releasing toxic mercury vapors when broken or 'improperly' thrown away. I think it is going to be interesting when the government mandated restrictions come into play by banning these light bulbs. I think people will be going to bed a lot earlier since they will not be able to afford to buy light bulbs.
