Well, I voted that I am usually more educated than my peers. The reasoning behind this is the amount of stupidity I am witness to on a daily basis. For example: I have heard on numerous occasions one friend ask another "So, did I have a good time last night?" Apparently, he went to a party and got so drunk that he couldn't remember it. Also I seem to have to explain things that I thought most people knew (like why stars twinkle). Furthermore, I seem to have my life a little more together- I don't get behind on my bills, I keep appointments, etc. So I guess I count intelligence as how well one can manage their affairs and remember them!
Education is tricky because I witness idiots making their way though college just fine. It's not particularly hard to cram for a test in one night and then vomit up your "knowledge" upon the test page and then forget it. I am guilty of this to some extent, but I still seem to have something up over my peers. Perhaps it's just good argumentative skills rather than actually being smarter- at any rate sometimes I feel sorry for them.

Unferth, I agree with your definition of intelligence. It is how you use your knowledge. Education is worthless unless your wise. I think that if you can recognize stupidity and not do stupid things, than you should be called 'wise'. With 'wise' you might not be highly educated, but you can still be smart. Right now, I have a 4.1 in 10th grade, and I consider myself a lot smarter than some adults I know.
