In the movies and television series of the Modern Star Trek there is a certain room called the holographic room where someone can enter and reenact a time in history, practise martial arts, etc. The question for analysis is... if this technology were available to you today and you had one hour to use it, what simulation would you choose to be part of and why? Lastly, do you think such technology will ever be possible?

For only one hour? Just once in my entire life?
I would spend:
5 minutes at the top of Mount Everest;
5 minutes on the lip of the Kilauea volcano;
5 minutes on the moon;
5 minutes in Atlantis;
5 minutes in the Bermuda Triangle;
35 minutes at the Sermon on the Mount.
I'm sure similar technology would be -- and even may already be -- available, but I doubt it could be real enough to actually feel, eat, drink, etc. I would love to have my own HoloSuite

I love stories about Medieval times like the story of King Arthur for example. I would spend my hour at the round table or at a joust. Anything to do with that time period. As for this type of technology becoming available, I think virtual reality is as close as we are to it, so we are not too far away from it becoming realistic.
I would spend my time in the old west of America. I love western movies and TV shows and it would be cool to be an Annie Oakley type person. Maybe someone like Miss Kitty from Gunsmoke, a saloon owner. Of course on the other end of the spectrum it would be awesome to walk the corridors and bridge of the Enterprise and go on an away mission with Kirk. (just wouldn't wear red ) As for whether I think the technology is possible, yes I do. Anything is possible in the future. I'm not sure if it would be available in my lifetime though. I think that it would be more like that of Total Recall where everything takes place in your mind only.
Only one hour? Hmmm. That would be tough...so many choices. With more time I would learn martial arts from Goku, solve a mystery with Sherlock Holmes, ride with the Lone Ranger. With the one hour limitation it would be a toss-up between swinging through the New York skyline with Spider-Man or a lightsaber duel against Darth Vader.
While it would be interesting to talk with Jesus, or sit in with the Founding Fathers during the writing of the Declaration of Independence, just knowing that it was based on what we think may have happened, it just wouldn't really do much for me.
