Indeed, that should always have been a priority, acting to undo the damage to the ecosystem we've caused isn't ultimately that difficult.

But while we're much better about it than before, we could do much better still.

Yes, agreed. We need to consider jobs though as we make these changes and we need to force the BRIC countries to do more. They spew out vastly more filth and hydrocarbons than we do.

Yes too many smaller second and third world countries are using the slash and burn method for clearing out a lot of forests and other oxygen or other air cleansing life. If we can replace a lot of what is being taken away we can help get some of the stress off this planet and keep life flourishing for many decades to come.

Odds of heat related events have gone up by 80%? And that's the conservative, highly hesitant to link the cause estimate. That's hardly promising.

But not surprising, everyone has been commenting on the weather being unusual lately. Those opposed to the idea of climate change just come up with alternate explainations, usually rather weak ones.
