[movie] The Beach

The beach is about a young man's quest to find adventure or maybe himself. He along with two others discover an isolated island with its' own community. The community has rules, but in the young man's quest for discovery he accidentally brakes them. Though it has a thrilling start and middle the end makes you wonder what is the point. What is your review?

a bunch of loozer hippies find out the hard way that a community that lives for smoking dope, sitting on a beach all day, trading drugs with the outside world blah, will always end in tears

A great movie with a silly ending. Think about it... and this is SPOILER info...

1. You meet a sucidal guy who leaves you a map
2. The guy kills himself and you decide to follow the map
3. You invite two strangers to come with you, mostly because you like the girl
4. You do not know how to get there so you go anyway
5. You meet other people and easily adapt to laziness
6. You find it easy to have sexual relationships with anyone that asks for any reason
7. It is easy for you to murder
8. You leave the island and all that makes you all happy is this...
9. An Email.

Beach movie

If it wasn't for a star and good actor like Leonardo Di Caprio that movie would not have sense...it's a 'wanna be' 'The Lord of the flies' (which it is a GREAT movie!) I found some parts of the movie very unrealistic....I mean, I know its a movie but some parts are extremely unrealistic...come on!.
My rating is D.

One thing I will give it though...

Music was great and so was the scenery. I liked the parts with the shark too, both the real ones and the fake that DC exaggerated. Although unrealistic... I know from experience that there ARE people that do these silly things, my not included
