ANTHONY ATWELL, who admitted that he killed his wife after learning that she had infected him with the Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) virus, for which there is no known cure, was last week found not guilty of murder by a jury which deliberated at his trial.

Atwell stabbed his wife to death eight years ago after he accused her of infecting him with the virus then leaving him for another man. The 12-member jury in the San Fernando High Court, however found Atwell, 43, guilty of manslaughter on the grounds of provocation.

Guilty Not Atwell Anthony

I was shocked when I read the news. I mean, I can understand the anger and frustration of this man but what he did was cold murder, he stabbed the woman in the chest in the middle of the road...madness.

Comments: Well, she probably infected him with HIV, and it doesn't sound like "cold blooded murder" which would be premeditated and has to be proven so beyond a reasonable doubt, it could be murder in the second degree or manslaughter in the first. As for his wife leaving him for another man, so what? She GAVE you HIV...or AIDS!
