Buying Home Made Food Products

Comments: Do you think it is safe to buy home made food products like cakes and cookies? Sometimes I see these bake sales for charitable causes but I'm skeptical about the food. Sometimes I just want to give them the money and say I don't need the food but that might look insulting.

I can understand you're being careful but you might be just over paranoid. Usually cakes and cookies can bake at very high temperatures so anything bad in them will be eliminated. What I would worry about is the handling. Like the person giving out the food shouldn't be the same person handling the money from the sales.
