Elderly businessman, Rasheek "Pone" Khan, was shot dead by men who spent the evening drinking alcohol and liming at his bar on Sunday.
His wife, 69-year-old Dolly Khan, was beaten by one of the men, who also ransacked their home located upstairs the bar.
The killing occurred around 9.10 p.m. As Khan, 72, was about to close his business place, Fun Seekers Restaurant and Bar, at Bonne Aventure Road, Gasparillo.

QUOTE POLICE have arrested a second suspect in connection with the February murder of bar proprietor Rasheek "Pone" Khan at his Gasparillo business place. The suspect, a 23-year-old CEPEP labourer of San Fernando was held at 11 am on Tuesday by officers from Southern Division Task Force.
The man who also has an address in Marabella was arrested while he was walking along the Naparima Mayaro Road, Cocoyea. He is expected to be placed on an ID parade as investigators said he is also wanted in connection with a number of robberies in San Fernando and environs.
The first suspect in Khan's murder was held on Sunday in Tobago. The 30-year-old Princes Town man has since been handed over to investigators at the Southern Homicide Bureau. Source 2
