Comics Draw To Teach Book Good
Hi Lee
Try some of the books written by an artist names Chris Hart. He has many books on drawing comics in the western way,as well as manga and creating characters for all kinds of media. One of my favorites is a book called Cartoon cool, it might help you draw more simplified characters with over exaggerated movement and proportions.Hope this post helped at least a little bit and have fun drawing.
