Hi there, I am looking to connect with Trinis (male or female) who appreciate that there is really much more to life than Carnival. I used to be in POS every year for years, jumping and waving...but I just don't get my kicks anymore off of it. And no, I didn't join a small church! Since I dropped out of the fete/Carnival scene, I've noticed that so much of our lives in Trinbago is dependent on the rum and party mindset. Most of my friends are into this so needless to say I'm having a hard time getting together with them these days. Hopefully, I'll meet some fun folks here! :--> I'm seeking to broaden my horizons.
Agreed. In fact, if you look through the board you will find many topics about this. You should also check the ones near the top of the Trinidad board. Now with regards to the mindset I feel that the government needs to provide more recreation than just a stadium, there should be lots of museums, concerts, etc. In other words, things that develop minds and not develop pregnancies!
I agree with you Trinireds, I'm glad to know that there are trinis out there who think in the same way you do. I'm a foreigner living in Trinidad and I think this country could be so much beautiful if people focus on the right things in life. Drinking, sex and obsenities are the common thing right now and I think no trini should feel proud about it.
