If you don't know, triskaidekaphobia is the fear of the number 13. I'm not sure if its the number itself or the quantity, for instance 13 apples rather than just the written number 13. Is triskaidekaphobia purely based on superstition?

Is it because there were 13 people at the last supper? It can't be because there were 13 disciples plus Jesus.

No, the Last Supper Connection may contribute to it being considered bad luck.
The Fear or Phobia is something that is irrationally developed by experience, it could be attached to numbers, smells or spiders.
