Oil prices have jumped to yet another record high, nearing $142 a barrel in Asian trading today. The latest price surge comes a day after OPEC's president said crude prices could reach $170 this summer. Meanwhile, Libya has threatened to cut oil production in response to US threats against oil producers. We speak with Michael Klare, author of Rising Powers, Shrinking Planet and Arun Gupta of The Indypendent.

KNtoran, that's already been done: Who's been in Iraq since 2003? Iraq invaded Kuwait before that, and who "saved" them? I don't doubt it will be done again soon.
Rather off topic, but... Why do you think nothing is being done by the international community to stop the escalating violence and illegal "elections" in Zimbabwe? They don't have any natural resources that are worth invading for. In my opinion, of course. |

Yeah we have been in Iraq for a few years but we are not getting our oil from there. Funny that huh? I would think if we were filling up our tankers at Iraq we would not be paying the high prices that we are. I think it is funny that we could probably stop using all foriegn oil in a few years but still have not. Good thing we have a oil rich president right now.
