We were still only down to $3.45 last time I filled up. We have to fill up in the morning we'll see if it has gone down any or not. The price of oil is a double edged sword here in Alaska. Our prices are still pretty much higher than the rest of the country (and it seems not much lower than Canada) but our revenue is also tied to the price of oil so its kind of a win/lose situation.

I filled up for $2.979 today. That's a lot less than it's been up until the past couple of weeks, and the first time under $3.00 for over a year, I think. Just think! "Only" $52 to fill my tank, rather than $75. ... An extra loaf of bread and a gallon of milk, eh?

Well we filled up the tank this morning at $3.45. Then tonight on the way home it had dropped to $3.29. That's $4 we could have saved - the price of a gallon of milk.

Funny we have not seen prices this low in 4 years but yet I hear every one complaining (Around my circle of acquaintances and co-workers.). I ponder unless it goes back to 70 cent a litre will any one stop and just be thankful we are at a better price. I paid 88 cents a litre in 1987!
Rather off topic, but... Seeing farseer used Eh! Krakyn send mind warping waves to use Hoosier Eh! I shall convert you yet! |

I'm surprised that no one voted OPEC as the reason for high oil prices. Those Russians know how to hold the world at ransom. Good thing that no one fell for their lowering production hat trick.
