Drizzy let us know she would be gone for a few days and said we should play for her, if we don't here from Fun in the next day or so, we will need to let the GM know. He won't allow us to play Fun's character long term. He will take control of him. (probably kill him)
=======================
Since the stuff is broken, I say leave it. Let's just explore very carefully the new place we find ourselves. Let's look around for traps and any signs of anything buried or tracks, footprints, etc. In otherwords, let's explore and see what we see.

I'm back. I would think that we wouldn't need the stuff since it's broken, but why would the GM ask us if we wanted to take it like that? One of us already has a pick, right? That seemed the only possibly useful thing. I dunno. I'll agree to leave it if everyone else thinks we should, but I still think it's odd that he would ask it like that. Maybe we should examine the broken objects.
Wow, quick reply to that one... Should we extinguish our torches so we won't be so easy to spot? Then maybe we could spy on the activity around the corner and up ahead without being seen, if we use some stealth.

Althea's first reaction is to hunker down close to the ground and hug the wall to be as indistinguishable as possible, lest people/creatures look their way. She tugs at Sokei's arm to pull him back close to the wall and get the torchlight out of the main tunnel area. What is that sound? Althea covers the canary with her cloak to quiet the little bird.
First, we haven't heard from Fun since April 5, today is the 10th. If we don't hear from him today, we really need to make the GM aware that he has been away. He may be having phone line troubles again. If we do have to tell GM, let's remind him that he has had phone line troubles recently and that this might be what is happening now. Hopefully, in that case, he won't kill him immediately.

I agree with FarSeer, we should extinguish our torches. We can follow the light up ahead to guide us. I would leave the bird here. We don't need it with us at this moment. If someone is ahead, they are breathing. We can come back afterwards and recollect the bird (if we are still alive )
============================
Ice quickly blows out her torch and motions for the others to do the same. Once all is dark, she whispers to Althea, "Let's leave the bird here for now. We don't want to announce our arrival, now do we?"
====================================
I think we should place the cage against the wall right here out of the way. Everyone should wait a minute to let their eyes adjust to the dark. OK, why don't we edge ahead very slowly, Let's hug the wall and place one foot very carefully, and gingerly ahead of us as we move looking for traps. Those with swords should use them to prod the ground ahead before stepping to be sure there are no traps. Or, do you think it will be safer in the middle of the tunnel? I am thinking more likely for traps in the middle, but who knows. Plus, hugging the wall will give us some stability to help keep us from falling or tripping over something.

Sounds good to me. A couple of things though. Even if we've extinguished out our torches, if they have the light source and we aren't hiding behind something, we will be seen as we walk past them if one of them happens to look to us. Also, I don't really think it's possible to blow out a torch.

We can just say we extinguish the torch without saying how. Worse comes to worse we could rub the flame in the dirt which would definately put it out.
I don't think we should pass them. I think we need to sneak up quietly just to see what they are doing. Part of the reason to hug the wall. We should definately stay in the shadows. After we see what they are doing we can decide what to do next.
I'm in agreement. We will extinguish torches, hug the wall and very very cautiously approach to a point where we can just see who/what it is and what they are doing. Then decide from there what we do next. We may have to just go back up to the next level and take the tracks. I don't think we should try to pass the working crew with their torches lit.
As much noise as they are making, I don't really think we need to worry that much about traps. It doesn't seem to me that they worry too much about intruders -- other than that first "warning" message, we've seen nothing else.
And as a P.S. -- Fun has been here in the Forum, he just hasn't posted here in camp or maybe anywhere else? His stats say he was here yesterday at 11:16 a.m.
