[camp] Gold Mine - Page 22

Here is what I just posted in party order. Now, we should discuss what we will do next. If it is a trap, we should try to get around it and continue to the room. If this is an entrance to another room, do we take it or continue down the tracks to the original room? I am very curious about the source of the wind.

Well, if the tracks will hold the weight of a cart filled with dirt or gold, it should hold us - one at a time. So, I think we should cross the tracks one at a time. What I would like to know is what is the black area on the map. I am assuming that the white in the center is the hole he is speaking of, but maybe I have misread something?

I have been thinking about this, I think we should take Althea's grappling hook and rope. Swing the hook to the other side and look for a place over here to tie it off. Then as you cross you can hold onto the rope. If the track breaks you could use the rope to make it either back to safety or to the other side, which ever is closer. Also, with the safety of the rope, you could do a little "bouncing" in places as you cross to see how safe it is. Other question is, do you leave your gear here on the side while you attempt the first crossing and then come back for it it is safe to do so? That would probably be wisest. If you end up hanging from the rope with all of your gear, chances are good you won't be strong enough to make the trip safely on the rope.

O.K. Now, once we set our party order this time, it will need to stay until we are through the tunnel, so what is likely to be most important? Strength or wits? Also, who has the most useful equipment? We could, of course, pass equipment back and forth so that is not as big an issue.

Fighting strength is not an issue because there is no way to fight in a cramped space such as this, except to maybe fire some arrows.

Reminder: When you post your thoughts, also post your character's statements in character so that it just needs to be copied into the party order post.
