People probably laugh at this group but if something happens they are prepared. They can defend themselves from roving bands of hungry people and people infected with whatever. The issue would be animals and people within the group getting the disease. If people within the group were to get something it could spread rapidly. If animals can catch and transmit, humanity would be in trouble.

I feel that there is enough open space that 'clean' people (However you want to define that for whichever scenario we are talking about) could quarantine themselves. They could have open space for their domesticated animals (Disease free of course) and for their crops, then live in the middle. The disease outside for ravage the world for a few decades at most, but it would relatively quickly die off. The only 'trick' to surviving then becomes finding a place to grow your own food without risk of disease. I think underground with artificial sunlight would be the best option, but if something like Iceland is free from disease an island could work really well too.

I agree, the problem is getting to this disease free area. That's always the issue. Getting past the infected without getting infected and getting past the non infected who are hungry and desperate since society broke down.

I do not think we have to worry about Zombies any time soon. If any one has seen the movie "Idiocracy" I think that is coming to fruitation long before and Zombies make it here.

If the Zombie do come here you will find me someplace in the middle of nowhere living off the land and well protected from any zombies.

You are absolutely right. It seems the intelligence of our elected officials goes down the longer they're in office. For darn sure their civility does. As far as the zombie apocalypse goes, I'll be your neighbor there and we can watch each other's back.

Yes in case of a zombie apocalypse come to the middle of the nation. Look for me and we will make a nice survivalist and well defended encampment. I have a lot of stored rounds in Military ammo cans.

Yes, me too and I'm mega good with my weapons. Both SF and 18th ABN Corps sniper school. Now, my eyes aren't quite as good as they once were, but I have glasses and with a scope it doesn't much matter. As far as rounds goes… we'll be good.
