Ice whispers, "Wow that sounds like a long drop there. Let me light this torch Sokei and you can take a look."

Ice lights a torch and hands it to Sokei. He will look to see what is ahead. If it is just an attempt at a trap to prevent us from entering the room ahead and we can easily get by to the other side, that is what we will do. Otherwise, we will need to discuss our plans after we see what this is.

Mine Gold Order party

Ice says to the group: "Wow, I wonder what that is? I am not going to stick around long to find out though. I think we should find the gold and get out out here."

Althea, let's use your rope and grappling hook to help us cross these tracks."

The group will take the rope and attach it to the grappling hook. Then throw the hook to the other side. Once it is firmly attached to the other side, they will look for something to tie it off on on this side, then Sokei will take off his equipment, and grab on to the rope and use the rope as a safety as he crosses the tracks. He will walk gingerly but as he feels more securely will jump up and down occasionally to gauge the strength of the tracks. He will hold the rope very securely with both hands as he crosses the tracks so that if another gust of wind comes or the tracks collapse, he can climb back safely on the rope.

Once he crosses the tracks if he decides the tracks will hold safely. He will return, get his gear and go back over. Then Althea will cross, then Elda and finally Ice. If it is decided that the tracks are very secure, we will remove the rope and each person will cross one at a time holding very securely to the rails. If there are no ralings to hold onto, then we will leave the rope in place. When Ice crosses, she will untie the rope from this end, keep the hook in place and inch her way up the rope as she crosses so if she is blown off or the track collapses she will have the rope to hold her and depending upon how far she has crossed she will only fall as far as the distance not yet crossed while holding the rope.

I tried to formulate a response to this but it is to general, you need to be more specific. For instance who is actually throwing the hook? What are you throwing it at?

Page 5 Mine Gold Order party

One of the problems is that I haven't really gotten input from anyone else and I don't have a great imagination. :-( I tried to be as detailed as I thought necessary. Sorry. I am still kind of new to this and I don't enjoy acting as leader.

The last time we heard from Drizzy was april 12, when she said she might not be able to connect on a daily basis for a while and that she would just agree with the majority rule until she could post again.

The last time we heard from FarSeer was also April 12.

On Friday, April 16, was Fun's last post when he offered the following: "Alright im alll for it! Lets do this thang dilly wang. Ill go first, i volenteer. Still want my spear out to keep balance."

This was before the big gust of wind almost knocked him off of the tracks. I immediately posted the suggestion about the rope and hook in camp. Heard nothing.

So based upon the group's agreement that we should be posting once per day, I posted what I thought we should do. Maybe I shouldn't?

If I was o.k. to do so, I have added what I hope is additional information below. If I shouldn't then, just ignore what I have posted and tell me we need to wait. I am just trying to keep the game moving.

The group will look for a place to throw the grappling hook, such as a rock. If they don't find one, they will just try to throw the hook over the last rung of the tracks on the far side. Ice will throw the hook. They will try to find something on the side they are on to tie it off, but if they can't find a place, then Ice, Althea and Elda will hold the rope while Sokei crosses and tests the strength of the tracks.

Sokei says "Yay, all ahead! I say you, Ice, then Athea, then me and then Elda go in thtat order. The heaviest should go first, as they are harder to be blown off the edge."

Ice agrees: "I will go first, and I am bringing all of my gear. I plan to crawl across the track holding onto the rails so that I won't get blown off. Elda, hold the torch while I cross. Then when it is your turn, put it out. I will light one on the other side so you can see as you cross."

Everyone agrees that this is the best way to safely cross the tracks.

Once Ice is safely across she will say the following: "O.K. Hold on, before you cross. Just let me take a quick look around to make sure it is safe." She will then look in the immediate area for any dangers. If necessary she will light a torch, but if she can see the immediate area without doing so, she will wait until it is Elda's turn to cross before lighting hers.

If she doesn't find any terribly, impending danger, she will then tell the others to cross as planned.

Once we are all safely across will we will continue on to the next room, careful to look for traps or any thing of interest along the way.

We still haven't heard from FarSeer (since April 12) or Drizzy (since April 12). That is why the game is moving so slowly. I keep hoping to hear from them. So, at this point I guess we are not controlling their characters. I don't know how to respond if we don't include them in our plans.

Here is what I will do if we are controlling their characters.

We all enter the tunnel in the following order: Althea, then Ice, then Elda and finally Sokei. Althea will carry a lit torch and move very carefully and slowly. Ice says to Elda: "Quiet down that cough. You are going to give us away for crying out loud. " Ice looks at her healing potions to see if there is anything that will work on a cough. (IF there is, Ice will give it to Elda to take)

We will continue until we either come out at the other end or run into a problem which must be resolved. If we come to any room at the end of the tunnel, we will enter it quickly prepared for battle.

I am assuming the order can't be changed after this while in this tunnel, but that we can set the order at this point. We don't necessarily agree on the order and I was hoping for input from a third party. :-(

The Game Master says...

Farseer did the propper thing and Emailed me about her connection problem. Drizzy did not do this and so will be out soon unless she posts tonight. The party order cannot change based on the way you entered this tunnel, after you come out of the tunnel you can change it as you wish. If you look at your posts above you will see that you already entered the tunnel first and the rest followed, that is how you are currently lined up in the tunnel. The scenario will be updated when I get a reply as to what you want to do.
