QUOTE
a. Official Name of the Flag?

American Flag , For more than 200 years, the American flag has been the symbol of our nation's strength and unity. It's been a source of pride and inspiration for millions of citizens. And it has been a prominent icon in our national history.
QUOTE
b. Any Nicknames of the Flag?

Old Glory , story https://www.usflag.org/old.glory.story.html , Stars and Stripes
QUOTE
c. What does each color represent?

Red symbolizes Hardiness and Valor, White symbolizes Purity and Innocence and Blue represents Vigilance, Perseverance and Justice.
QUOTE
d. What does each symbol represent?

The stripes represent the original 13 colonies, the stars represent the 50 states of the Union.
QUOTE
e. Who made/invented the Flag?

from https://www.usa-flag-site.org/history.shtml In May of 1776, Betsy Ross reported that she sewed the first American flag.
From: https://www.usflag.org/flag.evolution.html No one knows with absolute certainty who designed the first stars and stripes or who made it. Congressman Francis Hopkinson seems most likely to have designed it, and few historians believe that Betsy Ross a Philadelphia seamstress, made the first one.
QUOTE
f. What rules govern the use of your National Flag?

The flag should be lighted at all times, either by sunlight or by an appropriate light source.
The flag should be flown in fair weather, unless the flag is designed for inclement weather use.
The flag should never be dipped to any person or thing. It is flown upside down only as a distress signal.
The flag should not be used for any decoration in general. Bunting of blue, white and red stripes is available for these purposes.
The blue stripe of the bunting should be on the top.
The flag should never be used for any advertising purpose. It should not be embroidered, printed or otherwise impressed on such articles as cushions, handkerchiefs, napkins, boxes, or anything intended to be discarded after temporary use. Advertising signs should not be attached to the staff or halyard.
The flag should not be used as part of a costume or athletic uniform, except that a flag patch may be used on the uniform of military personnel, fireman, policeman and members of patriotic organizations.
The flag should never have any mark, insignia, letter, word, number, figure, or drawing of any kind placed on it, or attached to it.
The flag should never be used for receiving, holding, carrying, or delivering anything. When the flag is lowered, no part of it should touch the ground or any other object; it should be received by waiting hands and arms. To store the flag it should be folded neatly and ceremoniously.
The flag should be cleaned and mended when necessary.
When a flag is so worn it is no longer fit to serve as a symbol of our country, it should be destroyed by burning in a dignified manner.

Offtopic but,
I don't know how to post an image of the flag.

a. Official Name of the Flag?

Bandera de la Republica Argentina

QUOTE
b. Any Nicknames of the Flag? (example: Union Jack)

No that I know of

QUOTE
c. What does each color represent?

There are many hypothesis about what each color represent. But the white represents Union and the lightblue or blue represent the color of the sky. But because we don't know exactly why the creator chose those colors there is not an official meaning, although some they say that the color blue was taken from the French flag where the Argentinian philosophers and writers were getting ideals from. Another theory said that after the English invations where Argentina won, the colors the people used to celebrate were white and lightblue.

QUOTE
d. What does each symbol represent?

The official Argentina flag has a sun who also have a face and it represents two things: one is a replica of the first Argentinian coin approved by Law in 1813 and also is the sun of 'war' meaning the country is ready to defend itself in a possible attack.

QUOTE
e. Who made/invented the Flag?

Manuel Belgrano, lawyer and great man of courage. He created the flag when Argentina was trying to form Indepence Provinces from Spain. (1813)

QUOTE
f. What rules govern the use of your National Flag?

When ceremonially carried, the Argentine flag is subject to certain particular and elaborated practices:

* Flag Apparels:
The law requires that an Argentine National Pavillion (a carrying flag) shall be:
a) Tied by four sets of double white ribbons to a carrying pole.
cool.gif The carrying pole shall be of a specific national wood (similar to mahogany), 2.10 m tall, tipped with a silver polished metal point and a horizontal crescent.
c) A Cravatte, with a bow and two long tippets, all in the same design as the flag, finished in gold thread, shall be tied to the point. The name of the Army, School, Club, etc. could be embroidered on the tippets. Decorations and medals (if any) are pinned to the cravatte.
d) The Sun of May (which is centered in the white stripe), complete with face and right and flaming rays, shall be embroidered in gold thread, normally with a certain volume or relief in the face.
* Flag Bearers:
a) The carrying belt is not frontal, but a complete body band, used from left shoulder to waist, made of strong leather and covered with satin flag colours. It shall have an embroidered national coat of arms (not the Sun of May, to avoid confussion with the Presidential badge).
cool.gif The flag bearer shall wear white gloves.

PS: The Argentinian Celebration of the National Flag Day in 2001 has a world record of the largest flag (3, 500 meters of length).

Yeah, yeah... what are you patriotic? laugh.gif (just kidding)

As for Trinidad, I will not cheat like the others... I will instead give you what I know from memory...

a. Official Name of the Flag?
The National Flag of Trinidad & Tobago

b. Any Nicknames of the Flag? (example: Union Jack)
The Red, Black and White

c. What does each color represent?
Red = fire, Black = Earth and White = I think prosperity

d. What does each symbol represent?
No symbols per sey, the flag is straight lines going from top to bottom which actually means 'distress' or 'in conflict'. One wonders if that was not inspired based on situations in the country.

e. Who made/invented the Flag?
Can't remember

f. What rules govern the use of your National Flag?
More or less the same as AGene listed except that it must never touch the ground, and be flown after 6pm or sun down.

I noticed Agenes post did not mention that our flag should never touch the ground either, old tradition was to burn the flag if it should touch the ground.
Fact: The brass ball on top of the flag pole (refered to as the truck) used to carry 1 m14 round and instructions of how to burn the flag in a ceremony, this was 'if' we are ever overran, the last man will take care of the flag and not let our enemies touch it.

One of the things that I learned is that if you do not wish to personally burn an old and tattered flag, then you can take it to any American Legion Post, or to any Boy Scout Troup, and they will do it for you.

No other flaf should be flown higher. So, if you fly a state flag and a US flag, the US flag must be flown higher than the state flag.

If the flag is to be flown at half-mast, it must be fully raised and then lowered to the half-mast positon. Then, when you are ready to lower the flag for the day, it must be raised fully and then lowered.

Also, although Agene gives the explanations for what each color represents in the US flag, I have to believe a large reason for the colors of our flag comes directly from the English flag. I notice that many places that were once British colonies use those same colors.
