Police said around 8.22 p.m. On Saturday, Fredericks, a PH taxi-driver, was plying a silver Almera motorcar on the Beetham taxi stand, behind the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, when another car pulled alongside him.

The occupants of the other vehicle, police said, opened fire on Fredericks, hitting him 11 times. He slumped on the steering wheel of the vehicle and died at the scene.
