Comments: In the Journal of Discourses, 1870, v.13, p.271 Brigham Young, a Mormon prophet taught that the moon and sun were inhabited by people. Do Mormons really believe that?

It all depends who you ask. The Journal of Discourses isn't considered Scripture by the present LDS Church so it is well known Brigham Young probably just shared his opinion on the matter.

If what you ask is if is doctrine, no it is not. I'm sure different members have different opinions on the matter though. For me, no way. I don't believe there are people living on the moon.
