Tobago Trinidad Trains

As far as I know the train system as a method of transport was moved because it was not cost efficient. There are still trains in Trinidad, but they move cane and not people. There were plans recently to have a light rail going from East to West, but I am not sure if that is still on the table.

Offtopic but,

Trains In Trinidad And Tobago Caribbean / Tobago & Trinidad

I used to wonder the same thing, living in Argentina for such a long time I am so accostum to trains and metros that is hard to understand why there are not trains in Trinidad, I said this because this little island has such a great population in Port of Spain and everybody seems to want to reach destiny really fast. Trains are wonderful! I used them almost all my life and I really like them, specially because of speed, same with metro.

Maybe you should read the thread here about Maxis, trains might actually be a welcomed relief.
