Maybe, but even if it happens in the sand for a minute or two there should be some other signs also, either in the snow or whatever. I think I am looking at this now like it is either made by man or something else.
If it made by something else why doesn't it happen everywhere.

Thanks for the picture JB. That is an absolutely gorgeous example of a crop circle. It is the intricate design and precise work that causes me to doubt that such a work could be done without some type of GPS/ mapping system. Also, in my opinion, even with GPS and mapping, such a design would have to take longer than one night.
