Children Speak With The Dead?

Researchers say that children can detect or 'see' their former lives... or is it that they are somehow given communication with the spirits of the deaprted?

This is interesting, I always thought children have a special 'eye' for these kind of things. I know several cases of children seeing angels or things like that. I don't know if its because of their 'innocence' or if it is because they have some kind of unknown ability we don't fully understand.

I think that because younger childrens minds are so open and not tainted with the problems that adults and teens suffer from that 'spirits' find these clear 'mind channels' to which they can speak getting through without all those problems and worries cutting them out. Children with an open mind can receive these 'spirits messages' and like any normal child repeat what they hear. Not knowing its unatural to hear voices.

But thats just what I think.

When my oldest son was younger, say 2 or so, he used to play with someone who wasn't there. He would be looking at some point at the ceiling or some point in the distance and would giggle and laugh. He also used to wave at the sky or to someone who wasn't there.

When he reached four or so, he came crying to my wife saying his friend was gone and was unconsolable. We had no idea what he was talking about, he didn't have any real friends so to speak. It was also around that time that he had his first bad dream. He soon met one of his best friends to date across the street and he forgot all about his other unseen friend.

Because of this situation, I believe that children have guardian angels that they can see until they get to a certain age. My middle child never really showed an affinity for the unseen, but my daughter was giggling at an unseen presence in the air just yesterday.

It all makes me wonder if guardian angels are watching, or if its something else entirely.

Konquerez, thanks for sharing your story. I think children have a 'special' spirit and that they may be able to perceive and even see things that we cannot see. I do not know whether they see spirits (dead people) or angels. Whatever it is, I have seen that in my own son when he was younger.

I believe people not just kids have that sense when they are born. Most people forget how to use it or lose the ability from lack of use. It would be a form of esp like psychic impressions or astral projection. The reason children are most likely to have it is because they have joy in their latent abilities.

I just listened to a podcast episode about this! It was really creepy. I don't believe in a higher power, but our energies may go somewhere. I believe kids know the secrets of the universe when they are born, and all of the supernatural stuff, maybe, too.
