Bebop Cowboy

Cowboy Bebop is to be considered classic amongst the anime elite. Problem is, I don't like it. I find the story lines to be boring and ridiculous and semi-child like. The animation is great for its time.

I don't like the fact that they treat the story lines like they are adult story lines, and treat the characters the same, but the story lines just aren't adult oriented or able to keep my interest. However, I like the idea of the anime, a space cowboy in a futuristic world, pretty neat.

I liked Cowboy Bebop, if fact I liked it for the same reasons you didn't, it was light. The animation was all dark and gritty, but the story, by contrast, was light and funny. They did have one or two serious storylines but overall it was a nice break from all the other "serious" anime.

I have to agree Cowboy Bebop is a break from all of the other anime, it's serious at the same time you can get at least one or two good laughs in every episode even the last episode, which in my opinion is quite heart ringing.

The year is 2071. Following a terrorist bombing, a deadly virus is released on the populace of Mars and the government has issued a 300 million woo-long reward, the largest bounty in history, for the capture of whoever is behind it. The bounty hunter crew of the spaceship Bebop; Spike, Faye, Jet and Ed, take the case with hopes of cashing in the bounty. However, the mystery surrounding the man responsible, Vincent, goes deeper than they ever imagined, and they aren't the only ones hunting him. The original creators of the virus have dispatched Electra to deal with Vincent and take out anyone who may stumble on the truth behind him. As the hunt for the man with no past and no future continues to escalate, they begin to question what about the world is reality and what is a dream as the line between sanity and insanity becomes more apparent.

I think Cowboy Bebop is a awesome show. I think it is a action comedy with some romantic elements thrown in there. A nice story about how friends are the family you choose for yourself
