Comments: The reference here to "genealogies" means what specifically that we shouldn't be doing?
As regards to genealogies Paul was encouraging us not be sidetracked in controversy over matters of personal pedigree, which contributed nothing to Christian faith. God did not now recognize any distinction between Jew and Gentile in the Christian congregation. (Galatians 3:28)
The Ephesians were dabbling in god-genealogy. They wanted to trace themselves back to their gods. You don't get saved through genealogy.
