D&D 3.5 Tal'garoth Game - Page 15

"Is this a lair for vampires?" Krusten asks hoping the answer will be "no".

"Who are they?" Krusten continues as she draws her sword.

We are just training today. After this formation we will go for a run and then the rest of the day will be focussed on sparring with wooden weapons.

As soon as Krusten speaks the two figures turn and begin to quickly shamble towards them.

"No, not vampires, these creatures are ones that have fallen and risen again." the man says readying his sword.

I will need a d20 initiative roll and some damage rolls if you are going to attack them.

Krusten doesn't like the sound of all of this it seems like all a dream.

The two shambling creatures quickly approach and Krusten is the first one to take action.

She flies towards the first one and impales it on the end of he sword. To her astonishment the creature continues towards her, further impaling itself on her weapon. It then throws a punch at her face, but its strike is terribly slow and Krusten is able to dodge it. The other creature shambles towards her Armoured Follower.

Krusten then kicks the creature off of her sword, it staggers back, then lunges at her trying to tackle her. The creature latches onto her sword arm and begins to swing wildly at Krusten hitting her in the face and arms. (You take 3 damage.)

Krusten, during the grapple, is able to headbutt the creature caving in its skull. The thing finally falls dead to the ground.

She turns towards her odd companion and sees him kneeling near the other creature. It is decapitated, and its head a few feet away is still snapping its jaws. The Armored Figure stands up and crushes it with his boot.

"We must hurry, there will be more of these things around here by now." He says as he begins to run towards the other end of the room.

As Krusten runs and follows she asks, "Are these zombie-like creatures, who made them?" while looking back to see if anything follows.

"I do not know master." he says to you while still running. He leads you down several more hallways and eventually you can see light coming through cracks between a door and the stone of the tomb.

He stops suddenly, "By the Great One!" You can see a massive creature move in front of the doorway. You can't tell what it is from here. But it definately has more than 2 legs.

Krusten is in no mood for playing games with anyone or anything so she whips out her sword for whatever it may be but she first watches what her 'guardian' does firs.

Initiative: 8

D20: 17, 12, 9, 6, 22, 13, 16, 5

2D6: 11, 10, 8, 15, 14, 16

The Armored figure sprints towards the creature and the creature charges towards him. You can tell as it gets closer that it is a gigantic spider.

Right before he can swing at the creature it knocks him to the side with one of its many legs and he is slammed into the wall. It then moves towards Krusten. Krusten holds her ground and waits as the spider gains speed. In the perfect moment she thrusts with her sword and the creature impales its head on it. It gives a horrid shriek and it cowers back abit as Krusten pulls her sword out of it.

The creature moves forward again, this time attacking her with two of its legs. She manages to defend against the first one, but the second one swipes her feet out from under her and then slams into her chest. (You take five damage.)

Again, the spider shrieks in pain and it turns its back towards her. It takes Krusten a little while to get to her feet, but when she does she charges towards the creature and skillfully jumps onto its back. Once on top of it, she drives her sword deep into it. The spider collapses and dies instantly.

One the other side of the spider is the armored figure. She can't tell if he is hurt or not, but she can tell he is breathing extremely heavily.
