I thank you for the information, sir.
Twill returns to his seat and asks the tender... How long would it take a caravan to get from here to Leth? Something nags at Twill about the caravan and its safety with what happened to him so recently.
Hmmm, well Twill what are you going to do now? My gut tells me to follow that caravan, that they may be in grave danger and need to be warned. On the other hand, I have my own business to take care of and there should be someone here who can provide some clues for me.
Twill ponders his options while he finishes his drink. After his drink, he hops down to the floor and makes his way to the men at arms who are recruiting for men.
Excuse me sir, may I have a word with you? If he listens Twill introduces himself and tells the story of his own caravan being destroyed and show him the slip of cloth with the emblem on it. So you see, I have a bit of business with these orcs and thier allies. If you have any information that you can share I would be most grateful. Also, I can not tell you why, but for some reason I fear for the cravan that just left, would you happen to have any patrols heading toward Leth that I might ride along with?" I promise to be no bother to your men and will care for myself.
"We are in the graveyard of Leth," he points towards the lights, "That is Leth there. We need to hurry, we are not alone here."
His walk turns into a job and then into a full out run. "We must hurry, come on!" He cries. Krusten can see figures milling around in the darkness in front of them. As the runners approach the two creatures charge in return. But both warriors easily slay them and continue sprinting towards the light.
After a short run, Krusten and her companion make it to Leth. Right before they make there way into town, the Armored Figure stops. He looks at Krusten and says, "The Great one has seen promise in you." He kneels before her and thrusts his sword into the ground.
Krusten is astonished when a blue light flashes and she immediately feels better. Her follower motions towards the town gate, which is now being opened by a guard.
----------
"Well," the old man says, "I only have 50 gold coins. I will give you all of em if you help me clear those rats out of my house!"
----------
"We can use all the help we can get." The guard says writing down Twill's name on a piece of paper. "As a matter of fact, we are transferring another guard from here to Leth in the morning. You are free to travel with him if you like."
The other guard takes you to the barracks and assigns you a horse. If you want to go, be here and ready in the morning.
----------
It is nighttime for everybody.

Krusten goes through the gate. "What are we to be doing here now?" Krusten says still baffled by the whole affair. She then remembers her dog now that she feels safe and asks, "Did you see my dog?"
Twill follows the guard back to the barracks and stows his backpack there. After promising to be there bright and early, Twill heads back to the tavern for another pint. He spends the evening there nursing the ale and having a substantial dinner. He will need his strength fo rthe up coming days so tries to eat as much as he can.
While he eats he listens to the conversations around him, trying to pick out anyone that might have knowledge of the attack on his caravan. He also listens for conversation on Leth and the road there. Twill is familiar with the road, but has not travelled that way.
As the evening turns to night, Twill thanks the inn keeper, pays his bill, and makes his way to the barracks, for a good nights sleep.
ah, to sleep under a roof again....how long has it been since I have slept in a bed and not on the sandy wastes of the desert.
Twill begins thinking of his family as he drifts into sleep, the taste of vengence in his mouth as the shadows of exhaustion take over and drop him into the well of deep sleep.

The trip into town had been draining for Caldric. He had been coming from the other side of the Kingdom but about a day into the journey his horse collapsed and died - guess that just showed he shouldn't have trusted Big Dave to 'sort' him a horse when he could have just hitched a ride with a caravan.
Regardless he was now here. Or more precisely nowhere. Nowhere with a roof though, which made a change from the scorching heat outside. He sat there, casually drinking a mug of...something pale colored. He hadn't really paid attention to the barkeeper when he was pouring his drink.
He carefully glanced around, looking to see if any one near-by seemed interesting (or rich). Unlikely for this dung hole, but with only 5 gold to his name and no horse Caldric couldn't afford not to dabble in a bit of thievery.
Spot Check: 16 (12 + 4)
"Your dog is safe and sound and is inside your room. The Great One told me that you would need rest after all the fighting. Your room is already paid for and is the last one on the left of the room hallway. As for me, I will be around." The Armored Figure says as he walks off in a random direction.
----------
Twill sleeps suprisingly well and he wakes feeling good and refreshed.
----------
Caldric's trained eyes easily spot a pair of drunken merchants exchanging tales of how they duped the Caravaneers out of some money.
----------
The old man looks elated and he rushes out of the tavern with Eleck close behind. When they arrive at his house, which is only about 10 foot by 10 foot, he says, "Now be careful, those aren't just normal rats in there." he says taking a step back.
(If you enter the house, I will need initiative and combat rolls.)
Krusten wonders about this whole thing, it doesn't seem right. She goes to the room to see if her dog is really there and checks to see if he responds in the same way her former dog did. When she feels she can she rests making sure to tell her dog to stay alert and her sword is by her side.
In the morning she will look at her surrounds and try to see where she is at in daylight..
