Another dog charges out of the darkness towards Krusten, she is ready and swings just before it lunges. This hound is wary though and stopped just out of the range of her swing. Krusten then swings an overhead blow towards the dog, but it is too quick and it dodges out of the way. Again, Krusten swings at the wolf in vain as her sword misses it by an inch. This time the hound lunges after Krusten swings and its fairly large claws make a gash through her stomach. Krusten takes 6 damage.
Krusten's next strike though catches the dog in its legs and it wimpers in pain. It makes a pitiful attempt to strike back. (It critical failed .) Krusten easily finishes it by crushing its skull with her boot.
As Krusten once again looks at her companions, she notices they are all about as hurt as she is. Geoffre has a horrid bite marks on his shins and thighs and is walking with a limp. Desh's left arm has a bit mark in it and his chest has a wound.
"I am not sure we could repel another attack." Geoffre says obviously disheartened. He about collapses on his knees as even more howls are heard in the distance. Desh smiles, you can tell he has enjoyed the combat. "We'll be fine." He says with a smile as he tosses you and Geoffre each a healing potion. This potion heals 1d6+1 damage.
Geoffre smiles, "I knew you had something up your sleeve desh."

Out of Character: I need to go do something, I will update Rhothgar later.
Krusten is oh so glad of a way to bring relief to her wounds. She quickly drinks the potion and finds that it only minimally cures her.
Out of Character:: I got a 2 so that puts Krusten on 4 hps.
Krusten attempts to bind the rest of her wounds anyway she can and calls her dog to lick some of her other wounds.
Desh and Geoffres healing potions seemed to be a bit more potent as they immediately feel extremely better. "I think we might have beat them off," Goeffre says, "We'll sleep here for tonight, I will take first watch, after 3 hours I will wake Krusten up, and then your 3 hours then you will wake up Desh." Geoffre begins to put up his tent.
I simply need 3 D20 spot rolls.

The old turns towards Rhothgar and says, "I used to be a very powerful wizard." But now in my old age, my magic is weaker and I could not fend off 4 armed bandits on my own. You though have the look of a strong warrior and I am sure you can defeat them. And don't worry, I will help with some of my magic as well."
The old man takes you about a half mile out of Cartetha and then he stops. "Here is where I was robbed." He says. There are many boot prints and you can see a spot where you guess the old man was shoved off his feet. "There they are!" He cries and you can see 3 figures rushing down a sand dune towards you. The 4th is remainin on top of the dune and is loading a sling.
Alright this is the start of combat, so roll your initiative and your attack rolls.
Glem mounts a horse and heads off.
"So what are we up against?" he asks. "Or better yet, why don't you tell me who you are?"
Out of character: I've got the feeling I'll have to use Magic weapon soon, so how exactly do I cast it? Is it a D20? What modifier do I add?
Stepping into a defensive position, Rhothgar readies himself for the oncoming melee. Calling back to the old man he says "find yourself some cover old man and see if you can do something about the one loading his sling."

The man Glem has been following twists to look behind himself at Glem and says, "I guess you deserve to be informed. I am Geirill a Captain of the Dral-Tek and we are going to be assaulting a large orc camp."
After what seems to be a long ride, Glem can see smoke and when they ride to the top of a dune an entire orc camp is revealed. Geirill quickly rides down to the bottom of it and Glem follows. There are more people here and it appears that they ring the entire encampment. Most of them are wielding bows.
"We leave are horses here." Geirill says and he turns to another man and asks, "Are we late?"
"Noo, we are just about to get started." Then the man raises a horn to his lips and blows it.
"Come on its time to attack." Geirrill as he draws his scimitar and rushes forward with the rest of the others.
I will need to know your actions, and if you are going to attack with them, then roll your initiative and your attack rolls for a few rounds.

The night passes quickly for Krusten as nothing is seen by any of the watchers. They mount their horses and ride back to Carthetha. When they finally make their way to the guard barracks they find the Sergeant.
"I assume your task has been completed?" He says.
"Yes sir, the orcs have been slain." Geoffre replies.
"Alrighty, here is your reward." The Sergeant says as he gives each of you 50 Gold Pieces. "We don't have any more tasks to do today besides patrolling and we already have all the needed spots filled. So your off today, go do whatever you want."
Krusten after 3 difficult engagements you realize your skills have already grown. You have leveled up to level 2. Just post your level two changes in the Signup Thread.

Rhothgar charges forward and easily cleaves his sword through the skull of the first of the attackers. The other two bandits swing longswords at him, but he easily deflects their strikes with his shield and slays another with a stab to the chest. Again, the last bandit strikes in vain as Rhothgar parries the strike with he own blade and knocks the man off his feet with a sheild bash. He then easily finishes his foe. He looks up at the man with the sling to see him blown of his feet by some magic spell.
The combat is over. Rhothgar can loot some leather armor, 2 longswords, a shortsword, as well as a sling and some stones.
"Thank you so much friend." The old man says to you as he rushes to retrieve his bag from one of the dead bodies. "Here take this, may it serve you well." He says handing Rhothgar a ring that seems like it would fit him perfectly. It is silver covered in some type of runic writing and has some kind of gem in the center of it. "That my friend is a Ring of Healing. You can call on its power once a day to heal you." The ring will heal 1d8 Health Points when you use it.
Krusten expresses her gratitude for the gold but doesn't spend any. She wishes to save up for something more worthwhile when the time comes. She heals herself and then awaits for the next time there is a mission to fulfill.
"Geoffre, please tell me when it is time for my sword to be active again."
