Another Sick Bastard!
A man heard a baby (one year old I believe) crying so what does he do? He picks up the baby and forces cocaine down her mouth. Then when you think he has lost it, he hits the baby with his fist on the chest and throws her in the air so she comes down to the ground with a hard thud on the head... This baby is now fighting for life.
Readers... This is yet Another Sick Bastard living, walking, and doing something in Trinidad, an island where I really despise.
That is truly a horrible story. I don't often read the daily paper, but today I did. There were three separate stories of child abuse. The first was a man who was drunk and mad at his wife because she wouldn't cook him some food. He went into the baby's bedroom and took the child (I think it was his step-child) and threw him against the wall. The mother picked up the crying baby and the man grabbed him and threw him against the wall again. The baby wasn't permanently damaged but easily could have been. The second case involved a 24 year old woman baby-sitter who shook a five month old. The baby ended up dying. The third case was a man who abandoned his three children in a trailer for several days. He was bar-hopping, partying, etc. The police discovered the children after a tip from neighbors, I believe. Every time I hear about one of these incidents, I get sick to my stomach. I just can't understand how a person can have no conscience to harm an innocent and defenseless child. Do you believe Trinidad is worse than the United States? After reading the paper today, I feel like it's equally horrible all over.
He was either high, or so completely self centered as to have no regret for what he does to or for anyone. If it doesn't benefit him, then he truly doesn't care. In this case, it was the crying to stop. Thus anything done to that ends was justified in his mind. I just get disgusted at people like that and just want to plant a fist straight between their eyes!
I was reading some news article about this case and there were saying that the chances of survival for the 8 month old baby are very slim since his head was severely injured.

Hearing things like this just make me want to hug my daughter tight and never let go.
No child deserves this kind of treatment, even the bratty ones. And when I think back to when my daughter was 8 months, and how she was so fragile and sweet, it's beyond my comprehension how someone can harm a child this way. A baby doesn't do anything wrong! So they cry. Sometimes for no reason. So what? It's just noise. Make sure they are comfortable and fed and not sick, then just put in earplugs and let them cry! No need to shake them or worse.
Another sick bastard on this island...

AN Arima man yesterday told a magistrate that he was high on cocaine when he attacked his five-week-old baby boy two weeks ago. Anthony Campbell was before Chief Magistrate Sherman McNicolls in the Arima Magistrates' Court charged with assaulting his baby boy, Isaiah Bruce, when he said, "Officer, I take my cocaine and I see the child as a monster." Campbell, who was unrepresented, pleaded guilty after prosecutor, Cpl Mark Maharaj, read the evidence. The court heard that Campbell, 35, of Peytonville, Arima, was in the company of Isaiah around 10 p.m. on August 12. He had been left in the accused's care by Ingrid Bruce, Isaiah's mother, who has two children with Campbell and four other children from a previous relationship. The baby was crying and he allegedly dealt him several slaps, then lifted the him bodily and slammed him on a bed. The mother of the child later came home and found the baby in quite a battered state. On getting an explanation from Campbell, she reported the matter to the La Horquetta Police Station... |
That is just horrible. What about the admitted cocaine use? Cocaine is illegal in Trinidad, isn't it?
