Gang member gets life sentence for New Year's Day killings
James Carter was convicted of two counts of first-degree murder and three counts of attempted murder in the 2003 shooting at Dr. J's Liquor Store. Two women who stopped at the store after attending church were killed in the incident. Ref. Source 5
