Has anyone ever considered the idea of an extra-planar dungeon crawl. What I mean is this. . .
Consider, if you will, you begin your adventure in say the spine of the world mountains or the ancient dwarven home of Tharbard but somehow after hacking you way through various crypts and dodging clever traps you emerged in say Cyrodil or Ferelden. Any thoughts?
I've always thought this was possible in any adventure but mostly happening where higher level characters have the stats to cope with the challenges.
This is easily applied in any scenario when a UFO or alien force intervenes. Of course there can just be a portal between different planes or parallel worlds. I agree it is better for more expert characters to venture into unknown places.
