Can I Post News Too?

I just wanted to make sure its alright to start topics about news I read. I'm asking because I don't know if that's the function of 'News' or there is a special procedure for it.

Hi FairMaiden! Yes you can post news, it is actually most welcomed. What you want to do though is make sure the news doesn't already exist in the boards by doing a search. Also you have to add your comments about the news and a source for it. Thank you for asking.

This something I hardly see anyone do and its probably because our News Bot is very efficient or a Thread already exists for the news in question. One thing is missing is more locally specific news for instance not just by state by county.

I myself have posted some news stories. And like stated above just do a search about it before you will be surprised about some of the stuff already posted that may be relevant and then just added to the correct place.

I'm not much on doing this for the reason you state JB. It usually either exists or I assume it exists.

One thing I had hoped that everyone would pickup was talking about the state you're in. That way people who have been to that state or currently live there would be able to deliberate their take on news events locally that the rest of us wouldn't be able to.
