Kareem Alexander, 28, was the first person to be murdered since Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar announced a State of Emergency on Sunday night.
Alexander, of Connector Road, Felicity, Chaguanas, was stabbed in the back by a female relative during an argument at his home yesterday.
He died at the Chaguanas Health Facility.
