This is beating Matrix Reloaded already, anyone saw it? If so, please give us a review here.
'Bruce' takes No. 1
--------------------------------------------------
In person, Jim Carrey is a fairly serious guy. He doesn't crack many
jokes, hates to do impressions and is quick to admit he's one of the
most insecure men in Hollywood. Audiences are not interested in that
man. They like him loud, goofy and wisecracking — which is why they
rewarded his latest film, Bruce Almighty, with $86.4 million in ticket
sales over the weekend.
:spock: It must have been really good if you want to see it for a third time. So does this one rival his other shows? I hope there isn't any vulgarity in it (I do not want my virgin eyes getting spoiled).
I WANT to see this movie! I am not a huge movie fan (and do not get out much) but I really would like to see it.
I have to say I loved Liar Liar (forgot to add that to my favorite movie list)
But I did not like Pet detective, Grinch or Dumb and Dumber or Mask..... does not make me sound much of a fan, eh?
I just knew so many Christians would be up in arms bent about this movie.... and I read even the harshest of critics (ahem... Mothers of small kids) say they liked it and it had a positive message. Some foul lanuguage... but really good reviews.
I saw him on Larry King Live months ago. He was very humble (and calm). He appears to have faith. He seems to be a positive person.
It sounds like a great movie to see. I see some parts of it and Jim is really fun. The parts that I saw I don't think they make fun of God in any way, it is more like a super-power thing but again, I have to see the movie first ;D
If you guys saw the previews for this movie, then you saw all the funny parts. There are far better Jim Carey movies out there than this one. My favorites of his are 'Liar Liar', 'The Mask' and both Ace Ventura's. You wont miss much if you havent seen 'Bruce Almighty'.
