Why Do Mormons Believe There Is One True Church

Comments: I think there can be a true religion rather than a true church, maybe even a true path but not a specific church, seems so isolated.
Isn't it all the same thing? The word "Church" refers to the religion as a whole and the path is also the same as the church and religion.
LDS scripture (D&C 1, JS-H1:19, BoM verses on the church of the Devil, etc.) are some of the reasons why we believe there is only one true Church.
Philosophically, there can only be one true Church. Consider:
If God tells one group of people about His nature and requirements for salvation, and then tells another group of people something different about His nature and requirements for salvation, then He is a liar and/or a respecter of persons.
Assumptions would be that God exists and is not a liar or a respecter of persons.

Comments: First you have to know if the first or second god was truly god and not someone's interpretation of god or someone pretending to be god. You may think you're right and the chosen or whatever else, isn't that what the Jews still believe today?
