Would Al Gore Have Stopped 9/11?

This thread not only focuses on the man called, 'Al Gore', but it also seeks to ask the question... 'What if?' (see last paragraph below).

Al Gore (1948-...), was the Democratic candidate for president of the United States in the 2000 election. Gore conceded the election to Texas Governor George Bush on December 13, more than a month after election day.

The Nov. 7, 2000 election was one of the closest presidential elections in U.S. history. Gore received more popular votes than Bush did, but neither man immediately had the required majority of electoral votes. The vote in Florida was so close that recounts went on for weeks after the election.

Gore met Mary Elizabeth (Tipper) Aitcheson (Aug. 19, 1948-...) at a high school graduation party in 1965. They married on May 19, 1970. Tipper and Al Gore had three daughters and a son. Their daughters are Karenna (1973-...), Kristin (1977-...), and Sarah (1979-...). Their son is named Albert III (1982-...).

One has to wonder... What if Al won the election, would Sept 11th have happened? Would there be an invasion of Iraq? When you think about it, Al also lost the election because some of his voters did not fill their ballots properly. Knowing humans, I am sure that made him just want to kick himself.

Stopped Gore Al Would

I believe 9/11 would have happened even with Gore as president. This event took place relatively early in the Bush administration. He hadn't really done anything to anger the world other than follow what the previous administration had been doing. Clinton and Gore together had bombed other countries, they were very active supporters or Israel, etc.

However, if Gore had been president, I think the response to 9/11 by this country's military and government, would have been much different.
