Wow, that's a lot of money. It is a very difficult decision because we are talking about kids and their right for Education, nevertheless I do not think all that money should be spend in people who are not even permanent residents or citizens of the US. It is unfair for those who may want to access those funds and they are legal in the country but somehow are not able to access them. As harsh as it may seem, I do not think the US should support financially any illegal children in the country.

No Americans are denied a good education due to illegal immigrants coming to the United States.
What's next? Are you going to refuse medical care to an individual who needs it because he/she immigrated to the United States illegally?
There are many 'rights' people should have based on the standards of humanity that transcend immigration laws. I can almost guarantee that if it were actually possible to receive citizenship here in the United States for reasonable fees and in a timely manner, many of these illegal immigrants would choose a more proper way of migrating to the United States.
Let's turn the situation around- If the United States were in severe economical crisis do to mismanagement of the countries economic and Mexico had a surplus of jobs, more stable lifestyle, and better education for children- would you not do whatever it took to provide a better environment for your family? Would you even migrate to a country illegally, where the ability to do so is quite easy and the populous at large basically turns a blind eye?

Rather off topic, but...
I can answer this question with assurance, I won't! Full stop. My family and I tried to migrate to the US many years ago and stayed there legally for a couple of years and because our papers were taking very long to process and we could not longer stay without having to break the laws of the land, we returned where we presently live (Trinidad). I would never consider moving to a country illegally. Things are very tough here for a number of reasons, but if we ever decide to move again would be done in the same way: LEGALLY! |

Wasn't California so in debt that they couldn't even pay their own employees and now they want to fun the education of illegal immigrants? No wonder this country is messed up!
