Shades Or Not To Shades

Yes, the shades look cool, but what is the purpose of them really? Is it to not show expression or surprise? Is it to look at something without being seen looking at it? Then again why would a program need to wear shades? It is interesting to note that only fighters seem to wear shades and everyone else does not.

Maybe the shades were a way to filter out the code in the matrix, so it is not a distraction when fighting In any case, it provides the cool factor.

The 'cool' factor eh? Well why is it hardly worn in Revolutions? Also, I think the only people that exhibit the ability to see the code within the Matrix is Neo and the Frenchman.

LDS_forever, actually, no, he did not have to remove his shades to see the code. An example of this was when he went to see Seraph and when the Frenchman showed him the woman eating the cake.

I would probably go with the 'cool factor' idea. I never did see Matrix Revolutions, so I couldn't say if they did or didn't where glasses then. But who knows?

The use of shades mad e the Matrix what it is to some extend. Shades hide your identity and that is what they wanted to do in the Matrix. I remember when they came out with the Neo look alike brand some years ago.
