RALEIGH, N.C., Sept. 8, 2011--The Diocese of Raleigh, North Carolina plans to build a new 2,000-seat cathedral, dedicated to the Holy Name of Jesus, Bishop Michael F. Burbidge announced Sept.7. The announcement is a monumental and historic moment in the life of the Catholic Diocese of Raleigh and the state of North Carolina, the bishop said.
