Bigfoot or a sick bear? It is amazing that there are so many sightings of bigfoot all around the world, if we take in consideration that most of them are real, are we speaking of a specie?

RIDGWAY, Pa. - It's furry and walks on all fours. Beyond that, about the only thing certain about the critter photographed by a hunter's camera is that some people have gotten the notion it could be a Sasquatch, or bigfoot. Others say it's just a bear with a bad skin infection. Rick Jacobs says he got the pictures from a camera with an automatic trigger that he fastened to a tree in the Allegheny National Forest, about 115 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, hoping to photograph deer. "We couldn't figure out what they were," Jacobs said of the images captured on Sept. 16. "I've been hunting for years and I've never seen anything like this." He contacted the Bigfoot Research Organization, which pursues reports of a legendary two-legged creature that some people believe lives in parts of the U.S. and Canada. "It appears to be a primate-like animal. In my opinion, it appears to be a juvenile Sasquatch," said Paul Majeta of the bigfoot group... |
Just a follow up on your update LDS_forever. I just get sea sick trying to make heads or tails of this pic. But will admit looks weird is the critter rubbing it head on the ground? I noticed the feet pointing inwards on one side and forward at the other blimy I think we got the critter giving a good ol back scratching. My question are we looking at the back or front end?
Sorry forgot the link to the picture.

Hi, I'm new here!
I'd like to think that bigfoot exists, but I wonder how he avoids detection in built up areas. You'd think there would be a bigfoot carcass found eventually.
In the photo it looks like the thing is reaching for its toes or bent over for some reason. It seems to me that bigfoot is enjoying some gymnastics.
Do you think this is the "real" big foot or another hoax? If you click the link, you will see pictures.

Two men in the US state of Georgia say they have found the body of a Bigfoot, the legendary ape-like creature that has been subject of decades of hoaxes. Matt Whitton and Rick Dyer say they stumbled across the 2.3m-high (7ft 7in), 226kg (500 pound) corpse in a wood in the north of the state in June. A photograph on the men's website shows what appears to be the body of a large, hairy creature with an ape-like face. Bigfoot experts reacted suspiciously to the men's press conference claims. "What I've seen so far is not compelling in the least, and I think the pictures cast grave doubts on their claim," said Jeffery Meldrum, a Bigfoot researcher and Idaho State University professor. "It just looks like a costume with some fake guts thrown on top for effect," he told the Scientific American magazine. The US Fish and Wildlife Service also said its officers were not taking the claim seriously and would not investigate it.... |
I don't believe it, but someone I know told me that she heard that hunters shot and killed a Bigfoot-like creature over the weekend and have submitted the carcass to a lab for DNA testing to see if it was a deformed member of a known species or something entirely new. Don't shoot the messenger, this is just what I was told. I haven't researched it or anything, I just thought it was interesting.
I think a sighting in Alberta occurred three weeks ago again nice fuzzy picture not very good. One would think with the digital stuff we have a good picture might pop up. Again that would take an actual sighting I guess. They did take foot print casting and it was six toed.
With the rains we have had I bet we see more stories this year as they are forced from the deep swamps.
I think this latest series of sightings is just more proof of how gullible some people are. If there really were something like "Bigfoot" I think we would have found something more compelling by now. It is a bit suspicious that EVERY photograph is blurry, obstructed, grainy, or inconclusive. I get better quality photos with my cell phone. The so-called carcass looks like a discarded costume from Harry and the Hendersons. It sounds like we have a pathetic attempt at another hoax.
