Comments: What about if banks and mortgage companies could charge a rent to people instead of foreclosing on them and putting them on the streets? The rent goes to them and they still have to pay the rest of the mortgage?

I'm no expert but what I'm thinking is if they can't afford to pay their mortgage then how will they be able to afford to pay the rent which will probably be just as much as their mortgage?
