What are your thoughts about the animal "Cichlid - Oscar, Red"?
Brief description of the "Cichlid - Oscar, Red": Red Oscars will reach a size of 10 to 12 inches at maturity. There bodies are mostly red, with hints of orange and yellow. Females can be distinguished by their round anal fin, which looks somewhat like an arrowhead.

Red Oscar Cichlid
I have had one now for 8 years and it was mature when I received it. I am lead to believe it is around 12 years old. They actually aver very observant and easy to look after. Though to my shame he has just showed signs of hole in the head fungus. I have treated it many times and am continually doing a 25% water change with slightly elevated water temperatures. Not really helping cure it though it is not getting worse. None of the other fish seem to be developing it.
