I wanted to get a G-shock, but I have found they are so expensive that I could never get one so I always end up buying a casio, they are very reliable. I once had a casio that lasted 5 years without changing the battery and it had multiple alarms!
I have a Fossil watch, the one with the blue face. I think it is a good looking watch and it has served me well for a couple of years now. I dont believe in spending a lot of money on an expensive watch, $100 US would be the maximum I would ever spend on a watch for myself.
I currently am wearing a Citizen watch. I am sure mine is not one of the cheaper of their line as it is an eco-drive series meaning it requires no batteries nor winding as vibration when you wear it keeps it running. I actually got this brand basically because it is what the jewelry store carried when I bought my wifes engagement ring. I told her that she got a ring so I was going to get a watch. I believe they did have Seiko watches also but if I remember correctly I did not like the style of most of them.
My watch at the moment is an Accurist, but I either have this brand or Seiko.
I only like the wind up type of watch, so I'm really limited in choice.I've only ever once had a battery watch, I just didn't like them, so I'll stay happy with the old fashioned type!
