Parental Cliches

You know what I mean  Momisims
All parents use em...  You know those worn out expressions... that we grow
up by. How many times have you heard... because I said so. So what are your parents favorite things to say to you over and over? Mine said...

My dad always say:

Don't go out with a wet head girl, you'll catch cold.

Life isn't fair.

I'll treat you like an adult when you start acting like one.

Where do you think you are going dressed like that?

Yeah well as long as you live under MY ROOF you'll do as I say!

Yeah, its like a form of child abuse - I can still remember them and I am in my thirties! How about these:

"I carried you for nine months!"

"You were only born yesterday"

"Get cracking mister!"

"Don't make me come over there..."

[offtopic]I am sure Stranger can give you a few... LOL, but Stranger - remember to keep it clean - LOL![/offtopic]

"My home, my rules"

" You think you're smart, don't ya?"

" Take your coat"

" Let him knock the door and introduce himself!"

" You think I was born yesterday??"

" Call me when you reach there"
